Letter from our Founder
We all have defining moments in our lives, but they don’t define us. It’s the collection of those defining moments that will ultimately tell our story.
Letter from our Founder
Dear Friends, Supporters, and Community Members,
Welcome to I Am My Sister! As President of this incredible organization, I am honored to lead our mission of empowering, uplifting, and supporting young women as they navigate life’s journey. Our vision is rooted in the belief that when girls thrive, communities flourish. At I Am My Sister, we are committed to building a sisterhood that provides the tools, guidance, and encouragement needed for young women to become confident leaders in their personal lives and communities.
Through programs that foster leadership, self-care, mental wellness, and community service, we aim to inspire a generation of young women who live authentically, love boldly, and lead with purpose. Whether through mentorship, fitness initiatives, mental health support, or educational clubs, every initiative we undertake is focused on helping young women develop the resilience and self-belief necessary to achieve their goals and dreams.
Our work would not be possible without the unwavering support of our partners, mentors, volunteers, and donors. I extend my deepest gratitude to all of you for standing with us as we continue this journey of impact and change. With your help, we are building a future where young women embrace their worth, take pride in their identity, and recognize the power they hold to shape the world around them.
The heart of our work is connection—the idea that no young woman should walk her path alone. I encourage you to explore our website, engage with our programs, and discover ways you can get involved. Whether as a mentor, volunteer, donor, or simply a voice of encouragement, your support makes all the difference.
Together, we are building a legacy of sisterhood, service, and empowerment that will impact generations to come. Thank you for joining us in this mission. I look forward to all we will achieve as we move forward—side by side, sister by sister.
With gratitude and hope,
Lela M. Watson
